Malta recorded the highest rejection rate in 2024. With 16,905 rejections out of 45,578 applications received, Malta’s rejection rate stood at 38.5 per cent. This was the highest rate among all 28 countries that received visa applications last year.
The list of the top ten countries most likely to reject a Schengen visa application in 2024 shows a similar pattern to 2023 but indicates an overall surge in rejection rates.
